Haraszthy Family Cellars

In 1857, the Hungarian Agaston Haraszthy bought 225 ha of wine land in Sonoma. He planted it with 100,000 vines of 300 different varieties of European origin.

It is one of the reasons why Sonoma became the epicenter of wine in California. The current owners and winemakers, Vallejo and Sean Haraszthy (4th generation!) are still a reference for quality Zinfandels from different regions. The bear and the berry on the label refer respectively to the California flag and the fruit in the wine!
