The story about this historic estate dates 300 years back to 1692 when Willem Barend Lubbe settled on the flanks of the Bottelary hills in Stellenbosch.

The property counts 273 hectares of which 163 are planted with vines. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 85 to 250 meters and enjoy the Atlantic sea breeze that brings refreshment every afternoon.The beautiful driveway and the towering fountain make the winery one of the most recognizable of the Cape.
