Deep red and youthful colour. Charming aromas of oak and violet followed by red berries and fresh sweet plums. Smooth tannins with a long finish. Grapes from the Helderberg region, blend of 48% Syrah, 42% Cabernet and 10% Merlot. Harvested late March/early April. Limited yield of 40 hl/ha after severe pruning and green harvesting. 50% of the juice rested on new oak for 6 months. After this, the blend was made and the wine rested for another 9 months on oak barrels
