Beyerskloof Pinotage 2016

Characteristics:
Intense crimson color, typical Pinotage bouquet with plums and black cherries. A pronounced palate with black fruit, sweet spicy notes and velvety tannins. Well structured, yet elegant and soft, medium-bodied with a fresh and beautifully balanced finish. 2015 is an exceptional vintage year here!

Food pairing:
Baked or grilled red meats. Pairs nicely with oriental cuisine, with tempered spiciness and sweet and sour touch, or with chutneys.

About the winery:
Beyerskloof is situated in Koelenhof, a beautiful sub region of Stellenbosch. Owner Beyers Truter has earned the title of 'King of Pinotage' specialising in this typical South African grape. His son Anri has clearly inherited his talent: with Diesel Pinotage, he obtained the title of 'Best Young Winemaker of the Year'. Passion and quality, and Pinotage in different styles and price ranges.
