Exceptional cuvée in grape composition (Sangiovese 46%, Pinot Noir 18%, Nebbiolo 16%, Mourvèdre 4%, Shiraz 11%, Barbera 5%), rich aromas, spicy tones overlay a gentle silky, 'leather feel' black palate, which is emphasized by olive and black cherry tainted, cranberry laced flavours. Elegant tannins and long aftertaste with a mineral trait. A winner!

About the winery:
Peter Finlayson makes great wines in the cool region of Hermanus, near the Atlantic Ocean. In the beginning of his career, he stayed in the French Burgundy region, and became more and more passionate about Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Hermanus, in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley he found the ideal location to build one of the most famous wine estates in South Africa in partnership with Paul Bouchard. Talented Chris Albrecht has been appointed as winemaker in the meantime.
