Characteristics:
Exceptional cuvée in grape composition (Sangiovese 47%, Pinot Noir 14%, Nebbiolo 15%, Mourvèdre 7%, Shiraz 11%, Barbera 6%). Supple dried cherry, blackberry and savoury meat burst underpinned by a tobacco and green olive core. An appealing mid-palate grip is counter-balanced by refreshing acidity – hinting that patience will be greatly rewarded. Complex structure, will age exceptionally well: drink now through 2028. A winner!

Food pairing:
Enjoy with red meat and italian dishes.

About the winery:
Peter Finlayson makes great wines in the cool region of Hermanus, near the Atlantic Ocean. In the beginning of his career, he stayed in the French Burgundy region, and became more and more passionate about Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Hermanus, in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley he found the ideal location to build one of the most famous wine estates in South Africa in partnership with Paul Bouchard. Talented Chris Albrecht has been appointed as winemaker in the meantime.
