The unique terroir produces wines with a high natural acidity and upfront aromas. Grapes are handpicked late February\/early March, fermentation by indigenous yeast on a mix of 300l French oak (20% new) and 10% clay amphora. The wine spent 10 months on the gross lees. Floral aromas with elderflower, orange blossom and subtle biscuit nuance. The palate is vibrant and tangibly crisp with zesty citrus and even lemon pepper flavour. Fresh and lively in the mouth with orange and citrus flavour cloaked with creamy vanilla. The Cape of Good Hope Wines are made from some of the oldest South African vines, planted in the prime regions of Darling, Swartland and Elandskloof.
