Coppola Bee's Box Chardonnay 2017

Characteristics:
95% Chardonnay and 5% Chenin Blanc. Grapes from different regions: Mendocino County, Monterey, Lodi. The wine ripened for 9 months on French oak, 40% of the barrels were new. Fragrant nose with ripe tropical fruits, pineapple, pears and melon layered between tones of vanilla, roasted nuts and mocha. Voloptuous palate with rich crème brûlée, fruit compote and baking spices.

Food pairing:
Foodfriendly, goes well with fine fish, fine Asian (but keep away from the very hot ones), roasted vegetables, quiche or salmon pasta.

About the winery:
The Coppola winery received a special Sustainable Winery Award in 2017. With this new Bee's Box project, they want to protect bees, an important factor in the biodiversity chain. 'Great wines that give back 10% of the profits to organizations fighting to protect these little pollinators who have sustained us for so very long. So let's fight the good fight together, glass of wine in hand and say cheers to good food, fine wine and our beautiful pollinator friends.'
