Characteristics:
Delicate aromas of blackberries, blackcurrant, forest floor and cedarwood. Classically structured mouthfeel with a supple texture, complex layers and a focused linearity on the finish. Lively and complex and long aftertaste. Grapes sourced from Stellenbosch, blend of 70% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. Matured on 225 liter French oak for 18 months. Ageing potential of at least 15 years from vintage!

About the winery:
Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons is a joint venture between the Rupert family of South Africa and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild of Château Clarcke from France. The common base is the historic estate Fredericksburg, situated between Franschhoek and Paarl.
