Francis Coppola Director's Sonoma Merlot 2017


Characteristics:
Dark and expressive, Merlot grapes from Sonoma. Impeccable balance, outstanding complexity, and a lush texture. Flavours of cherry, cassis, aromas of plum, gingerbread & vanillabean. Elegant vintage with 7% Syrah en 5% Petite Sirah. 12 months on French oak, 20% new. Supple tannins and finish.

Food pairing:
Fried or grilled red meats, duck and Mediterranean dishes. Serve with spaghetti, lasagne and similar veggie bakes, meatloaf and burgers - especially cheeseburgers. Go for roast turkey or drink with mild to medium hard cheeses.

Since 2011, guests are welcomed to the brand new Rosso & Bianco winery in Alexander Valley in Sonoma.
