Inglenook Blancaneaux 2014

Characteristics:
An expressive Rhone blend based on 56% Viognier, 22% Marsanne, 22% Rousanne from Rutherford, Napa. Handpicked during the early and cool morning hours. 75% of the first press juice was used for fermentation on small tanks. 8 months sur lie gives nice intensity. Viognier provides aromas of white peach and pineapple, Roussanne and Marsanne bring flavors of lemon, papaya and a hint of minerality.

Food pairing:
Ideal with grilled fish or lobster dishes.

About the winery:
Francis Coppola bought the old Inglenook back in 1975, aiming to restore the grandeur of this historical château and to reunite the original vineyards. This was achieved in 2010. The passion of the film director and his wife are tangible everywhere. Winemaker is Philippe Bascaules, who worked at Château Margaux for many years and has the mission to create world class wines
