Jacobsdal Estate Pinotage Magnum 2007

Characteristics:
Intense ruby color, strong berry and plum aromas with light hints of oak. Harmonious, well-structured and complex texture. A few years of additional bottle maturation adds to the complexity of this Pinotage. It shows the wonderful potential of this grape and the talent of this winemaker.

Food pairing:
Try with soft pink meat like lamb, calf, in natural gravy.

About the winery:
The winery Jacobsdal is situated between Stellenbosch and the Kuils River, on the descent of the hills that look down on False Bay, in the southwest corner of the Stellenbosch wine region. The current winemaker and owner, Cornelis Dumas, now assisted by his son Hannes, makes one of South Africa's most authentic Pinotages. His Cabernet Sauvignon is a hidden gem with a very nice ageing potential.
