Jacobsdal Estate Pinotage 2013

Intense ruby color, strong berry and plum aromas with light hints of oak. Harmonious, well-structured and complex texture. Only natural yeast is used for fermentation. The age of the vines is upto 37 years. The wine matured on small French oak for 12 months.

Food pairing:
Try with soft pink meat like lamb, calf or kid, in natural gravy.

About the winery:
The winery Jacobsdal is situated between Stellenbosch and the Kuils River, on the descent of the hills that look down on False Bay, in the southwest corner of the Stellenbosch wine region. The current winemaker and owner, Cornelis Dumas, now assisted by his son Hannes, makes one of South Africa's most authentic Pinotages. His Cabernet Sauvignon is a hidden gem with a very nice ageing potential.
