Characteristics:
Dry premium Rosé in the same style as the high class Provence rosés. Blend of 57% Cinsaut, 41% Grenache and 2% Shiraz. Handpicked in February, with great flavours and exceptional acidity. Kept on the fine lees for 9 months before bottling to create more complexity. Pale blush-pink hue, vibrant aromas of fresh nectarine, peach and apricot, some soft red berries. Long and rewarding aftertaste of lemon zest and a touch of lees.

Foodpairing:
Delicious as an aperitif, or enjoy with grilled tuna, poached salmon or sushi. Or serve with a seafood salad, or cold chicken salad. Why not go for pure lobster on a special occasion.

About this winery:
The history of the winery dates back to 1694 when Huguenot Jean Roi planted 4000 vines beneath the jagged peaks of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains. Current owner is international businessman and wine connoisseur Anthonij Rupert. The flagship portfolio carries his own name. Only the best grapes are selected and the cellar is state of the art.
