Characteristics:
Complex, creamy & elegant Chenin Blanc, sourced from old bush vines 43 years of age in 2021 & planted on granite soils in Stellenbosch. The wine spent 12 months on the lees in 1500 liter foudres. Green tinge edges wrapped in a bright golden hue. Aromas of luscious stonefruit, Golden Delicious apple & subtle vanilla to the layered, long, spiced finish. Vegan friendly.
Decanter World Wine Awards: 93/100
Platter's SA Wineguide: 4,5 Stars
Food pairing:
Asian kitchen with fish and poultry. Great companion to fish, sea food (calamari, lobster, mussels & lemon butter prawns) and fresh garden salads. Excellent with vegetarian dishes. Lovely with soft white cheese. Will pair well with game birds. The wine has sufficient structure to pair well with lamb and pork.
