About this winery:
Pighin family winery is situated in North Eastern Italy’s DOC region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Grapes are sourced from two different vineyards, in the renowned regions of Friuli Grave and Collio, which allows two different expressions of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. The Friuli Grave region named after its meager, chalky stone and gravel soils is ideal for white vine varieties. The climate, cool yet moderated by the proximity of water and the sun’s reflective effect on the stony soils, allows a long growing season to ripen the fruit well into autumn.
