About the winery:
This historic estate, situated between Paarl and Franschhoek, was founded in 1688 by French Huguenot Charles Marais. Today's winemaker Neil Bester is very driven and monitors the wines closely. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg and are in the skilled hands of viticulturist Freddie le Roux. Flagship wine is a Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend, Grand Plaisir.
