Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons Baron Edmond 2011 (1.5 L)

Characteristics:
Blackcurrant scent with wild cherries, black pepper, coriander and roasted coffee beans. Lively and complex, very gentle tannins and long aftertaste. 45% Cabernet, 35% Merlot en 20% Cabernet. Matured on French oak for 20 months.

About the winery:
Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons is a joint venture between the Rupert family of South Africa and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild of Château Clarcke from France. The common base is the historic estate Fredericksburg, situated between Franschhoek and Paarl. Talented cellarmaster Yvonne Lester, the constant link between vineyard and wine cellar, strains after modern fruit and a classic texture.
