Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons Classique 2011 (1.5L)

Characteristics:
Young and vibrant, with aromas of raspberries and blue berries, toasted pine nuts and finish with dark chocolate. Hand picked grapes. 18 months in French oak.

Food pairing:
Excellent with rich meat dishes, fried or smothered, with rich sauces or as a meditation wine. The winemaker loves to combine the wine with roasted duck.

About the winery:
Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons is a joint venture between the Rupert family of South Africa and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild of Château Clarcke from France. The common base is the historic estate Fredericksburg, situated between Franschhoek and Paarl. Talented cellarmaster Yvonne Lester, the constant link between vineyard and wine cellar, strains after modern fruit and a classic texture.
