Blend of 60% Chardonnay & 40% Pinot Noir, 42 months on the lees. Aromas of roasted nuts, marzipan, citrus and a touch of strawberry & cherry compote. Dry and rich sparkling wine with creamy finish.

Food pairing:
Delicious with grilled fish with mayo aioli, roasted squid with risotto & wild mushrooms.

About this winery: 
The Silverthorn winery is named after a special Karoo acacia and is located just outside Robertson on the banks of the Breede River. The soil consists of rocky, limestone slate and is comparable to the famous Champagne soils in France. The Méthode Cap Classique made by John & Karen Loubser has been very well received from the start.
