Allesverloren Chenin Blanc 2022

Characteristics
Dryland bushvines situated on the Kasteelberg, grapes are handpicked. The wine was left on its fermentation lees for 3 months. Fresh and medium bodied, with flavours of ripe stone and citrus fruit, combined with almond and ginger tones, all of which are well integrated with vanilla oak spice.

Food pairing:
Combine with salads based on avocado with shrimps, ot tuna or lightly roasted chicken breast. Pairs with vegan pasta with pure roasted vegetables. Also with sushi or sashimi.

Neil Ellis Groenekloof Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Characteristics:
Straw like colour with an attractive green tint. Bright tropical and citrus aromatics, with subtle undertones of fresh cut grass. The palate is elegant and poised, refined minerality, textured and a long flavoursome finish. 

Food pairing:
Excellent refined food wine to combine with white fish, fresh seafood or salads.

Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Chardonnay 2022

Characteristics:
Rich golden colour, nose of ripe exotic fruits, pineapple and mango, peach, apricot and dried fruit, mouthfilling with vanilla and spicy accents. Partially fermented on French barrel of 2nd and 3rd fill. Classy Chardonnay!

Food pairing:
Serve with salmon, fish, seafood and white meat, grilled or with butter or creamy sauces. Or cheeses: brie, comté, mozzarella and Swiss gruyère.

Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend 2019

Characteristics:
Intense dark red colour. Bouquet of lovely red fruit and cherries, followed by sweet cedar oak aromas. The mouth gives initially an abundance of black fruit, followed by a big juicy soft middle with soft, well rounded tannins. Pleasant lingering aftertaste. Interesting Cape Blend: 41% Pinotage, 23% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Shiraz, 5% Cinsaut and 4% Pinot Noir. Matured for 12 to 14 months on French oak, combination of 5% new and 96% 2nd, 3rd and 4th fill.

Food pairing:
Serve with stews, game dishes or lamb.


Neethlingshof Owl Post Pinotage 2020

Characteristics:
Deep red colour, complex texture with black and red fruit, well integrated tannins and fine acidity. Vineyard planted in 1997. Wood ageing of 15 months in a combination of 60% Hungarian and 40% French oak. Can be cellared for another decade.

Food pairing:
Try with baked or grilled red meat or ground game, with spicy sauces.

Antonio Rupert Optima 2019

Characteristics:
Delightful blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc. Grapes handpicked in Franschhoek and Darling. Aged separately for 20 months on 225l French oak (30% new), blended and aged for a further 6 months and bottle-matured for 24 months before release. Silky aromas of dark berry fruit, blackcurrant, cassis, followed by spices and cigar box. The oak is sympathetic and supportive. Cellaring potential of 10 years +!

Foodpairing:
Pair with grilled and roast lamb with garlic and rosemary. Roast beef and venison. Richer steak dishes such as tournedos rossini, posh burgers or Japanese-style steak dishes. And a fine Christmas turkey!
