Las Rias Baixas D.O. in the Northwest of Spain is divided in five subzones.

The vineyards grow along the Salnes Valley, an area of low grounds, Atlantic climate with well-distributed rainfall and soft temperatures. The clay soils are full of minerals. The typical and elegant acidity make the Rias Baixas wines so different from the rest of the world. The average age of the Albarino vines is 30 years.

Bodega Benito Santos produces unique wines, full of live and complexity. Late harvest, short pressing process, lees, resting time in bottle. All of this results in slow winemaking with a deep respect for the environment.
