To the north the Sierra de Cantabria is the mountain range that protects Rioja Oriental from the Atlantic rains and to the south, the mountains of the Sierra de la Demanda shields Rioja Oriental from the inland heat. The vineyards are planted in 4 different locations, the wines are each an expression of the terroir. The average age of the vines is 45 year, focus lies on Tempranillo Tinto & Blanco, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo. The Garnacha Cepas Viejas grows on a century-old vineyard located on the slopes of Mount Yerga.
