Aromas of fresh, crisp apple, citrus, lightly toasted oak and hazelnut. Flavors of ripe yellow apple, orange zest and a hint of cinnamon. Supple yet dry finish. Wine Enthusiast awarded this Chardonnay the "Best Buy" label in July 2026.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with white meat and poultry, such as grilled chicken with citrus and herbs, with delicate fish dishes and seafood such as seared scallops or shrimp dishes. A great match for fresh salads and lightly spiced dishes.
About this winery
Subterra Chardonnay and Cabernet are made in Sonoma by August Sebastiani, a fourth-generation winemaker from the well-known Sebastiani family. The label, with its drawing of an old barn and silvery-gold accents, is a nod to the family's roots. The grapes are carefully selected from various California regions. The cuvées are fine and elegant, with great value for money.
