Characteristics:
Cyclus refers to the spiral that can be found in every aspect of Nature and represents power and dynamism. Blend of 5 varietals: Rousanne, Viognier, Chenin, Chardonnay and Semillon. Naturally fermented (20% as whole bunches, which adds unique body and length) and kept on the lees for 12 months with regular battonage. Soft, rich nose of violets and peach, and a hint of frangipani. Intense flavours of pear, pineapple, apricot and fig, rounded off with smooth, subtle oak for a creamy, long-structured finish.

Food pairing:
Combine with smoked or grilled fish, pastas, oriental and spicy dishes.

About the winery:
Avondale is situated at the foot of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains in the picturesque Paarl Valley. Owner Johnathan Grieve is pioneering the way forward to sustainable viticulture. The grapes are biodynamically grown and the wines are all organically certified.  'Terra est vita' is their ethos. The result are naturally delicious wines!
