Barbi’s “Blue Label” Brunello is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes from the best vineyards in Montalcino. Aged in small-medium oak for the first months, transferred to larger oak afterwards, for a total period of two years. Bottled at least 4 months before release. Brilliant ruby red of colour, with a bouquet of strawberries, roses, sweet spices, sage, anise and irises. Extremely elegant balance, soft and enveloping tannins refreshed by a lively acidity. Long and persistent finish. Ageing potential of 15 – 50 years. It is Barbi’s flagship bottling since maiden 1892 vintage and has been awarded many times for its quality.
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, game, venison and stews. Excellent with mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18° C.
