Sonoma and Napa form an excellent terroir for high-quality Californian cuvées. The vineyards on the coastline near San Francisco benefit from the cool winds from the Pacific Ocean. This selection of six bottles is a delightful blueprint of this terroir!

Kunde Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Characteristics:
Finely structured and complex cabernet. Flavours of ripe black berries, cinnamon, raspberries, fresh strawberries & cedar wood. Matured on French oak wood for 19 months.

Food pairing:
Enjoy a glass on its own or combine with a juicy steak, piece of veal or a bovine brochette.

Black Stallion Napa Chardonnay 2020

Characteristics:
Elegant and full flavoured white wine. Intense aromas and flavours of yellow apple, crème brûlée and hints of apricot, pear and oak. Tantalizing notes of citrus, dried apricot, and pineapple. The Chardonnay from Los Carneros provides the bright acidity, citrus notes, and lean backbone of the wine. Combined with the fruit from Oak Knoll, Rutherford and Stag's Leap, this results in a multi-layered, complex wine with a lingering finish.

Food Pairing:
Try with white fish, white meat or with ripened cheeses. Go for fine premium fish such as turbot, grilled or seared lobster and scallops. Simply roast chicken or grilled veal chops with mushrooms and slow roast tomatoes, even white truffles. Vegetarians can pair it with red peppers, corn, butternut squash and pumpkin.

Haraszthy  Family Lodi Zinfandel 2020

Characteristics:
Twinkling garnet red, fiery texture, strawberries, black cherries, tapenade and spices.

Food pairing:
Combine with sheep, ossobuco, oven chop, char with mustard, Peking duck or grilled beef.

Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Merlot 2022

Characteristics:
Red forest berries with young plums and anise in the background. A touch of Petite Sirah and Cabernet is added for complexity.

Food pairing:
Fried or grilled red meats, duck and Mediterranean dishes.

Diora La Petite Grace Monterey Pinot Noir  2020

Characteristics
100% Pinot Noir grapes from Monterey, Certified Sustainable, with respect of the vineyard biodiversity and applying careful water management. Partially aged on a mix of French and American oak for 9 months. Ruby of colour, aromas and flavours of dark cherries, currant and vanilla mingle with nuances of mocha. Velvety mouthfeel and a long and lingering finish.

Food Pairing
Serve with poached salmon, poultry or lamb. Or go for grilled vegetables or fine Italian dishes with a tomato sauce.

Black Stallion Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Characteristics:
Full-flavoured Cabernet sourced from mid to upper valley sub-appellations and Atlas Peak. 7,2% Merlot was added, 17+ months oak maturation, 75% of the barrels was French and 30% new.  2020 offers exceptional fruit with bright acidity, ample texture resulting in an approachable Cab, with aromas of black cherry, raspberry and notes of cedar. Intense fruit, integrated tannins with a balanced acidity and an elegant finish.

Food pairing:
Serve with red meat, this type of Cabernet loves a seasoning with garlic, rosemary and/or porcini (dried mushrooms). Partners well with roast or grilled lamb, slow-braised beef or venison. Fashionable ox cheek dishes are also a good pairing - even a chilli con carne. Go vegan with big juicy Portobello mushrooms with butter and garlic.
