Characteristics:
Intense and dark red colour with light evolution. Firm texture with present but ripe tannins. Generous Bordeaux blend, lingering aftertaste. Grapes sourced from mixed vineyard on Beyerskloof. 2003 was an outstanding vintage!

Delicate beef, gently spiced. Slow stews of beef or venison.
About the winery:
Beyerskloof is situated in Koelenhof, a beautiful sub region of Stellenbosch. Owner Beyers Truter has earned the title of 'King of Pinotage' specialising in this typical South African grape. His son Anri has clearly inherited his talent: with Diesel Pinotage, he obtained the title of 'Best Young Winemaker of the Year'.
