Characteristics:
A brilliant straw colour with a greenish hue, a taste of lime and stewed fruit combined with notes of vanilla and butterscotch. Has a soft texture with fresh undertones and a mineral aftertaste. Fermentation on a combination of French and American oak. 6 month of lees contact.
Food pairing:
Great with crispy salads, raw or poached vegetables, raw seafood, steamed fish & sushi. Accessible lightly oaked Chardonnay
About the winery:
Hill & Dale is a trademark from the famous Stellenzicht winery in Stellenbosch. The name stands for a series of enticing wines in terms of both quality and price. Winemaker Guy Webber produces the wines for easy drinking while still preserving the authentic grape flavours. All grapes originate from Stellenbosch and the label owes its name to the farm on the Stellenzicht property.
