Alto Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Characteristics:
Deep ruby red, spicy aroma with notes of plums and ripe cherries, tobacco and tea leaves, elegant fruit with dry tannins and fine acidity, concentrated long finish. Cellar for 10 years. 

Food pairing:
Baked or grilled red meat or ground game, with flavourful sauces.

About the winery:
Alto has a famous and unique terroir, high on the slopes of the Helderberg, with the influence of the cool sea breeze coming from the west. In this environment, the grapes can ripen slowly, which gives beautiful aromas and nicely developed tastes. Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz feel unbelievably well in this region. The "Alto Rouge" has been an institutional wine since nearly five decades.
