Ruby red of colour, with aromas of cherries, plums and dried apricots, vanille and coffee. Powerful yet elegant wine, with integrated tannins and balanced freshness
Serve with red meat, steak, venison and grilled or roast lamb. Pair with hard (sheep) cheeses. Goes well with grilled aubergines, mushrooms and squash.
Elegant full-bodied, complex Rioja with great personality and expression. Tempranillo blended with 23% Garnacha, 5% Mazuelo and 3% Graciano. The vines are over 40 years old. 14 months on a mix of new and second use French and American oak. Aromas and tastes of black fruit, some lavender, rosemary, coconut, vanilla and black chocolate. Lingering aftertaste with cocoa and coffee.
Serve with red meat, including BBQ. Delicious with lamb tout court, also with moussaka. Spanish-inspired dishes with red peppers or chili con carne. Delicious with paella with saffron or Moroccan tagines. Surprisingly red with Indian-inspired cuisine. Delicious with hard sheeps’ cheese such as manchego.
