About the winery:
The wines of Alto have been acclaimed worldwide. The winery has a famous and unique terroir, high on the slopes of the Helderberg, with the influence of the cool sea breeze coming from the west. In this environment, the grapes can ripen slowly, which gives beautiful aromas and nicely developed tastes. This region is famous for its monovarietal Cabernet Sauvignon. The "Alto Rouge" has been an institutional wine since nearly five decades and was one of the first SA wines exported to England. And watch out: you might be surprised by the 10 years+ maturation potential of these wines!
