About this winery
Las Rias Baixas D.O. in the Northwest of Spain is divided in five subzones. The vines grow along the Salnes Valley, blessed by an Atlantic climate with well-distributed rainfall and mild temperatures. The clay soils are full of minerals and the average age of the Albariño vines is 30 years. Bodega Benito Santos produces unique wines, full of live and complexity. Late harvest, short pressing process, lees, and bottle ageing. All of this results in slow winemaking with a deep respect for the environment.
