Characteristics:
Exclusive and very limited Pinotage cuvée made from 27 year old bush vine grapes, sourced from the 'Kriekbult' farm in Stellenbosch. The Kriekbult terroir gives Pinotage of premium quality. Deep red colour, aromas and flavours of black fruits, berries and cassis and integrated oak. Wood ageing of 19 months on 50% new oak and 50% second fill. Complex and perfectly balanced with a ageing potential of 10 years and beyond.

Food pairing:
Delicious with baked or grilled red meats. With stews, also with game. A classic with BBQ/braai. Go for hard cheeses or even blue cheese with figs. Vegetarians can pair this wine with aubergines, grilled portobello and dark leafy vegetables.

About the winery:
Beyerskloof is situated in Koelenhof, a beautiful sub region of Stellenbosch. Owner Beyers Truter has earned the title of 'King of Pinotage' specialising in this typical South African grape. His son Anri has clearly inherited his talent: with Diesel Pinotage, he obtained the title of 'Best Young Winemaker of the Year'. Passion and quality, and Pinotage in different styles and price ranges.
