Delicate and tender meats, cooked 'Rosé', like lamb, veal or goat, in natural and refined sauces. The winemaker loves it with seared salmon. Go for grilled vegetables or fine Italian dishes with tomato sauce.
About the winery:
Peter Finlayson makes great wines in the cool region of Hermanus, near the Atlantic Ocean. In the beginning of his career, he stayed in the French Burgundy region, and became more and more passionate about Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Hermanus, in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley he found the ideal location to build one of the most famous wine estates in South Africa in partnership with Paul Bouchard. Talented Chris Albrecht has been appointed as winemaker in the meantime.
