Characteristics:
Produced in very limited quantities, Archimedes is crafted from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec sourced from Alexander Valley. 20 months on French oak, of which 50% is new. Sophisticated, full bodied wine. Nuances of blackberries, blueberries, cassis, tobacco and violets are layered between fragrant spices and notes of smoke. Long, alluring finish. Outstanding vintage!
Food pairing:
Serve with steak, ribeye or sirloin, served medium to medium-rare. Or with a quality burgers, braised beef cooked in red wine, grilled lamb. For vegetarians: serve with juicy portobello mushrooms with butter and garlic.

Francis Ford Coppola, the famous film director is surrounded by a professional team that successfully runs a very modern winery. Since 2011, guests are welcomed to the Rosso & Bianco winery in Alexander Valley in Sonoma. Corey Beck is the cellar master and grapes are sourced from the most suitable terroirs according to cépage. Archimedes of ancient Greece was one of the greatest mathematical minds of all time. Francis Coppola pays hommage to his Uncle Archimedes, who also loved math and mechanics.
