Characteristics:
Francis Ford Coppola has been married for more than 50 years to Eleanor, this wine is made as a tribute to her. A solid blend of old vines made from 62% Alexander Valley Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sonoma County Syrah and a small portion of Petite Sirah. Rich, velvety texture and sophisticated level of complexity. The purity of the fruit gives this vintage polish and the wine has a wealth of structure to evolve further in bottle. Vivid notes of black currants, star anise, cedar and vanilla-tinged oak are followed by succulent palate impressions of candied cherries, cassis and a hint of cacao. Long, lush finish.

Hearty meat or spicy dishes & pastas. Coppola suggests 'Filet mignon with blue cheese butter, Slow cooked beef with pasta & porcini, braised beef short ribs with pancetta & crimini mushrooms'.
